I created "Home" using watercolor on wood. I have always been inspired by the Japanese and by their spiritual connection with nature and art, as with the native cultures of our region. This piece is a reflection on my connection with my home in the Pacific Northwest, and with salmon.
This limited edition giclée was printed using acid-free archival matte paper and and inkjet printer using archival pigment inks. All prints come with an additional 1/2” white border for easy framing.
I created this original painting on an 8x8” wood panel using a blend of acrylic paint and watercolor. With varying hues of blue and indigo, this fascinating bird, which I occasionally find scouting fish at the creek near my home on the north Oregon coast, was brought to fruition. If you have even had the fortunate occasion to watch a kingfisher in action, it is a true gift from nature.
Printed using high-quality inks on Moab Lasal Photo Matte, an archival fine art paper with a smooth surface, this heavy weight (230 g, 9.5-mil), neutral white, acid-free paper was engineered for accurate color reproduction that provides high contrast and high-resolution output.
The image size is 8 x 8” with an additional 1/2” border for easy framing.
