Pow Wow was formed as a group show to honor local Bend artists for their connection with nature and creativity. Deeply impacted after attending a friend's pow wow near the Oregon Coast a few months prior, I questioned how different life would be if we all lived off nature, respected our elders, and congregated in teepees during winter storms.
Featured Bend artists Adam Haynes, Jo Lundberg and Sarah Viles (Homeslice Jewelry) and I displayed work at Poethouse Art, as 9191, a snowboard film created by local Bendite, Jake Price, played on the big screen. It was an honor to show my work amongst these artists and share my work with the Bend community that I deeply respect because of their connection with the outdoors and strong sense of communal living. Central Oregon is truly a special place.
